COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – In less than two weeks, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) will return to the Broadmoor World Arena for the Built Ford Tough Rumble in the Rockies on Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3. This year’s event will include the newly added Gazette PBR Fan Zone – three-days of non-stop music and activities free to All Southern Colorado PBR Fans.

Joining the previously announced musical line-up of Chase Rice, A Thousand Horses, Kory Brunson Band and the Cowboy Dave Band will be Colorado’s hottest variety band, Tejano Heat. Tejano Heat will entertain Broadmoor World Arena patrons with a powerful Tejano sound, some Conjunto and a mix of country and old-school styles. The Southern Colorado-based band will take to the stage at noon on Sunday, May 3rd just prior to final night of the PBR Rumble in the Rockies.

The Gazette PBR Fan Zone opens Friday night, May 1 at 5 p.m. with KCCY’s official kickoff party that includes the Support the Sport 5K benefitting the PBR’s Rider Relief Fund, and two concerts – Kory Brunson and Chase Rice – on the Cooper Tires main stage. Rice, a country music singer and songwriter has just released his third album,Ignite the Night and has seen his lead single “Ready Set Roll” go platinum.

Bull rider meet & greets, mechanical bull riding, live bulls and a concert by A Thousand Horse will fill Saturday with fun and excitement. A Thousand Horses will bring their mixture of southern-style rock to the Cooper Tires Stage. The foursome’s breakout hit “Smoke” has already been downloaded more than 114,000 times.

The Gazette PBR Fan Zone will be three days of non-stop entertainment wrapped around the “toughest sport on dirt” as the Top 35 bull riders in the world compete at Broadmoor World Arena.

On Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3, the PBR’s Rumble in the Rockies showcases the world’s top bull riding athletes at Broadmoor World Arena, taking on the sport’s rankest bulls for their share of the $140,000 total purse and valuable points towards the 2014 PBR world standings. Round 1 takes place Saturday night at 7 p.m. while Sunday’sRound 2 and Built Ford Tough Championship Round take place on Sunday at 1:50 p.m.

In a special round of competition on Saturday following Round 1, the PBR 15/15 Bucking Battle will take place, pitting the Top 15 bull riders in the world randomly matched against the Top 15 bulls in competition. With a total of $21,000 on the line and bonus points towards the PBR world standings on the line, the bull riders will be hanging on for dear life for every second.

The 15/15 Bucking Battle will air on CBS Television Network on Sunday, May 3 at 3 p.m. ET.

Round 2 and the championship round of the PBR Rumble in the Rockies will air live on CBS Sports Network at 4 p.m. ET.  Fans can also watch every round of competition on PBR LIVE streamed in real time at www.pbr.com/live.
